Private sessions and consultations available.

I offer Jin Shin Jyutsu, Myofascial Release, and SpiritBodywork.  All are influenced by Arnold Mindell’s Process Work.  I bring over 20 years of bodywork experience with diverse and extensive training to the table.  Because of my own struggles with two life stopping illnesses, my work stems from direct experience.  I have experimented with a wide range of healing and harmonizing practices including a trip to Africa to participate in medicine dances with the Bushmen shaman of the Kalahari desert.  Jin Shin Jyutsu brought me out of the depths of Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome and started me on the path to help others find their own guidance and harmony.  Myofascial Release is getting to the restrictions that hold the unconscious belief systems that underlie all disharmonies and is freeing me from my own limitations.  My own process parallels my work.

Jin Shin Jyutsu brings balance to the body’s energies which promotes optimal health and well-being, facilitating our own profound healing capacity.   It allows us to “clean house” of daily accumulations for prevention of disharmony. It can provide mental/emotional relief.  It can be indispensable for reversing chronic conditions, assisting or avoiding surgery, reducing or eliminating the need for medications.  It can help acute projects heal more quickly and fully.  It is dynamic for conception issues and pregnancies.  It can help with diabetes, depression, insomnia, and a wide range of issues because it works on a systemic and energetic level.  For those addressing existing stress or health issues or simply wishing to participate actively in maintaining and increasing their health and harmony,  the Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu is a simple and powerful tool available to all.  Self-Help is an integral part of Jin Shin Jyutsu and empowers us to help ourselves.

SpiritBodywork requires client participation through presence and dialogue with the practitioner, bringing awareness to our holding patterns. It is impossible to separate it from the influence of Arny Mindell’s Process Work, which took me to Oregon for a five week international immersion in 2011 and has taken my work to a new level.  It allows the use of whatever is present to illuminate and unfold rather than resist what is happening.

Myofascial Release (MFR, John Barnes Method) also requires participation and is deeply empowering.  Feeling is healing.  Memories, beliefs, and our very consciousness and mind are held in the fascial system.  MFR is the missing link in healing modalities and incorporates a wide range of techniques.  Greater and more permanent results are obtained by releasing all components of our fascia.

I am interested in the transformational process.  The work i am drawn to is about awareness.  Without awareness, there is no choice.  The release of long held tensions (holding patterns) shifts thoughts and perceptions, changing reactions to responses in life as well as our symptoms and structure.  Jin Shin Jyutsu harmonizes, strengthens and integrates, while MFR and SBW is more challenging to the ego and can cut through the mind’s deceptions.  Both assume there is an unbroken, perfect essence within all of us, and that everything that occurs is simply bringing us to our essence.

My work is about bringing us home to who we uniquely are, with freedom of self-expression and wholeness.
